Welcome to the (mostly contained) chaos!
Hi friend,
If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’ve recently been diagnosed (or self-diagnosed) with ADHD—or you’re starting to suspect that your brain might not run quite like everyone else’s. Maybe you’re feeling relieved, confused, overwhelmed, excited, or even angry that nobody saw it sooner.
Whatever brought you here: Welcome. You are so deeply not alone.
This is the beginning of your journey to understanding your wonderfully wired, gloriously glitchy, deeply capable brain.
I’ll be your guide on this journey – ADHD coach, late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman, and lifelong collector of hobbies, hyperfixations, and existential crises. I made this series of modules to be the kind of thing I wish I’d had when I first found out that ADHD explained so much about me.
This is not about “fixing” yourself.
This is about figuring yourself out.
We’re not going to chase productivity for productivity’s sake. We’re going to chase clarity. We’re going to chase compassion. And maybe a few dopamine hits along the way.
Who is Matante Sylvie, anyway?

I’m Sylvie, also known as Matante Sylvie in these parts. Think of me as your ADHD auntie who’s done the research, lived the chaos, and come out the other side with a highlighter in one hand and a cup of tea (probably cold) in the other.
I was diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s—after years of wondering why such simple things seemed and felt so impossible, while the really complex and demanding stuff was easy peasy. Turns out, it wasn’t a moral failing or a lack of effort. It was a brain wired differently trying to survive in a world that wasn’t designed with me in mind.
Professionally, I’ve worked in higher ed for over a decade, helping students navigate accessibility, mental health, and academic challenges. I hold a Master’s in Interdisciplinary Health and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and I’ve built a coaching practice around helping neurodivergent folks (especially women and late-diagnosed adults) figure themselves out with curiosity, compassion, and a healthy dose of humour.
I’m not here to tell you how to be more productive. I’m here to help you see yourself clearly, treat yourself kindly, and build a life that fits your brain—not the one you thought you were supposed to have.
